There lived a man so strong, so principled, so patient and so quietly generous that his death leaves a void that can never be filled. David Lowe has left behind to treasure the memories of time spent with him: his wife of 51 years, Karen; two sons, Eric of Boynton Beach, Florida and Damon (wife Amy) of Indianapolis. He will also be missed by his four grandchildren, Tyler, Brenner, Macie and Kara. In addition, David is survived by his brother, Doug (wife Rhea), of Surfside Beach, S.C., and his aunt, Audrey Wagner of Winchester.
Born to Elvin and Margueriette Lowe in Winchester, April 19, 1941, he graduated from Driver High School (Winchester) and attended Tri-State College and Ball State University, after which he served his country in Vietnam. He was a member of Turpin Masonic Lodge in Union City, he was a 32nd Degree Mason. His profession and interest was in the field of computers, retiring in 2002 from Kindred Health Care as chief systems analyst. Those who knew David will appreciate that in keeping with his wishes, cremation will be followed by a private family celebration of his life.
