Betty L. Richardson, 84, of Edinburgh, died at 1:39 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Richardson retired from United Technologies in Edinburgh. She enjoyed crocheting and reading and was an avid fan of the Pacers, Colts, Cincinnati Reds and IU sports.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Full Gospel Church, 507 W. Center Cross St., with the Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Calling will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to Americare Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
Born in Johnson County Aug. 25, 1929, Mrs. Richardson was the daughter of Lester H. Walden and Violet Slevin Walden.
She is survived by sons, Steven (Anita) Richardson and Robert L. (Vicki) Richardson, both of Edinburgh, and Jerry (Jeanie) Richardson of Columbus; sisters, Alice Walden and Phyllis Walden, both of Edinburgh, and Rose (Sam) Swann of Hanceville, AL; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant sons, Jack Lee and Darrell Gene Richardson; brothers, Clarence "Bud" Walden, Doyle Walden and Lester Walden; a sister, Evelyn Wood; and a great-granddaughter, Bryana Johnson.
