Mr. G. Eugene Miskell, 76, of Morgantown, passed away December 31, 2013, at Brown County Health & Living Community.
Eugene was born in Scottsburg, Indiana, on September 20, 1937, the son of the late Howard E. Miskell and Nettie J. Broody. He entered eternal life surrounded by the love of his children and friends of many years.
Eugene had been an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed building projects and repair of fishing equipment his whole life. He retired in 1986 from Cummins Engine Company as a maintenance engineer.
After retiring, he started making Florida his winter home to enjoy the warmer weather, flea markets, yard sales and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Michael Eugene Miskell, Joy Ray, Rick Miskell, and Cheri Scott; a sister, Jo Ann Forrister; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces.
He will be greatly missed by his loved ones of many years.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville, IN.
Friends may call at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services will also take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Voss & Sons Funeral Home in Seymour, IN. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, IN.
Memorials may be written to the American Cancer Society for research for pancreatic cancer.
