Arnold C. "Hairy Nose" Hill, 79, of 10th Street, died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Hill was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was an inspector at Reeves Pulley and later at Reliance Electric and Rockwell Automation; he retired in 1996.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed computer games and hunting.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Full military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Sayno, Kentucky August 3, 1934, Mr. Hill was the son of William Everett and Polly Elizabeth Huckaby Hill. He married Annie L. Davis on April 3, 1956.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years; sons, William A. Hill and his fiancée, Jane of Columbus, and Dr. Virgil Zeigler-Hill and his fiancée, Jennifer of Oakland, Mich.; a sister, Shirley (Lee) Miracle of Columbus, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, William Russell "Red", Robert Lee, Ernest V., Richard Otis, Virgil, and James W. Hill.
