Margaret J. Maudlin, 90, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born November 26, 1923, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of John C. and Rose C. (Stier) Loyd. She was married to Howard L. Maudlin on May 18, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2007.
Her husband managed WTRE in Greensburg for several years and Margaret was the bookkeeper for the business. She then became the bookkeeper for First Presbyterian Church, remaining in that position until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Jacobs of Columbus; one grandson, Brian (Heather) Jacobs of Letts; and three great-grandchildren, Areyannah Brown, Bryanna Jacobs, and Aydyn Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Barbara S. Maudlin; and one brother, William V. Loyd.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will be held on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. Bill Ehalt officiating.
Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School.
