Kenneth Edward “Eddie” Jones, 75 of Nashville and long time resident of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 10, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Eddie was born in Loogootee, on August 23, 1938 to the late Kenneth Jones and Margaret McCord-Wright.
He married Patricia Jo Taylor in Seymour on July 22, 1961. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to owning and operating Ed’s Garage in Seymour, where he serviced vehicles for many long-time customers, Eddie was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing and hunting. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and would often be seen with his buddies at local coffee shops, where he made many friends over the years.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, Sue Ann (Evan) Werling and Cindy (John) Richards, son Gregory (Tammy) Jones, grandchildren, Marine Sergeant Joseph (Brandi) Murray, Andrew Murray, Shawn (Brittany) Richards, Seth Richards, Jonathan Richards, Heather Jones, Kyle Jones, great-grandchildren Lilly Murray, Addy Murray and Brody Murray, sister Jenny Jones, and brothers Mike Jones, Pat Jones and Johnny Jones.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sally McVay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Voss Chapel, Seymour, on Monday, January 13 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with a memorial following.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be given to the Brown County Humane Society, located at P.O Box 746, Nashville, IN 47448.
