Ondia R. McGaha, 77, of Edinburgh, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at his home.
Mr. McGaha retired in June 1999 after 43 years as a production worker at Cosco. He attended Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.
He enjoyed family reunions, spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and attending church.
Funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S. Main St., with the Rev. Guy Hardin officiating. Calling will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery in Bartholomew County near Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charities.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
Born in Adair County, Ky., Sept. 23, 1936, Mr. McGaha was the son of Otis "Peck" McGaha and Lillie Burton McGaha. He married Pricie England May 30, 1958.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Mark (Stephanie) McGaha of Columbus, David McGaha of Mesquite, Texas, and Daniel (Lisa) McGaha of Seymour; a daughter, Tamara McGaha of Edinburgh; brothers, Edward "Spunk" McGaha of Edinburgh and Roy (Lula) McGaha of Franklin; grandchildren, Justin and Joshua McGaha, Heather and Caden McGaha, Riley and Griffin McGaha; and a stepgrandchild, Andrew Dickherber.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy McGaha; brothers, Vernon, William, Osbert and Eugene McGaha; and a sister, Eva Bryant.
