Cole A. "Porky" Elam, 41, of 25th Street, died at 11:53 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Cole enjoyed going to the movies, going out to eat, visiting with people at the Mall, watching wrestling and IU basketball.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Roy Hendershot officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time Monday. Burial will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Jennings County.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Riley Hospital for Children.

Cole was born in Columbus February 11, 1972, the son of Charles and Brenda Young Elam.
Survivors include his father, Charles Elam, and stepmother, Rhonda Elam of Columbus; a brother, Chris Elam of Columbus; a sister, Courtney Newcomb of Indiana; his grandmother, Martha Elam of Kentucky; nieces, Miranda and Hannah Elam; and a nephew, Jordan Elam.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Young Franke.
