Linda D. Carmer, 57, of Parkway Drive passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.
Linda was born on July 21, 1956, in Columbus to the late Norval Ray and Betty Ruth Hall Ogle. She married Marshall A. Carmer on October 8, 1999 in Columbus. Linda was formerly employed at Kroger and Walmart. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed bingo, NASCAR and going to the beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Nathan Shockley officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Linda is survived by her husband, Marshall Allen Carmer of Columbus; children, Larry Ogle of Nashville, Tenn., and Taunya (Bobby) Johnson of Columbus; stepson, Joshua (Chelsea) Young of Indianapolis; grandchildren; Brittany and Bethany Ogle, Robby and Chris Johnson, Brittany and Matt Ortman, Zach and Emmalea Johnson, Lucas, Logan and Laton Young; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Roberta (Bob) McAnelly of Columbus, Connie (Larry) Whitis of North Port, Fla., and Stellia (David) Carter of Clifford; brothers, Norval (Sara) Ogle of Columbus, Richard (Vickie) Ogle of Columbus, and Guy "Rusty" Ogle of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Mike Ogle.
