Grace Gertrude Parker Hornsby, 75, of Indianapolis, died at 7:10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at her residence.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Marie Dunham of Ohio, Jeannetta Sue Rosales and Loretta Lynn Lett, both of Indianapolis; her sons, Royce Kevin Tharp and James Walter Hornsby, both of Indianapolis, and Herschel Hornsby Jr., of Ohio; sisters, Mary Stuart of Greensburg and Margaret Stanbough of New Whiteland; a brother, Leo Parker of Ohio; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Hornsby; sons, Gerald Franklin, Wayne and Jerome Franklin Brinkman; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with the Rev. Charles Tichenor officiating. Burial will be at Rockcreek Cemetery. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or through the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
