Barbara G. Smith, 60, of West State Road 46, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at her home.
Barbara was a machinist at Cummins Engine Company for over 30 years. Her true passion in life was horses and she enjoyed fishing.
No funeral service is planned.
Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, cremation will take place following the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Hooved Animal Humane Society, 6400 South 650 West, Columbus, IN 47201.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany November 30, 1953, Barbara was the daughter of Zebidee and Edna Pridgen Smith.
Survivors include her mother, Edna Smith of Washington, NC; sisters, Gloria (Roger) Stillabower of Columbus, Jackie (Roy) Wallace of Chesterfield, VA, Paulette (Dwight) Nesbitt of Chester, VA; a brother, John W. (Carolyn) Smith of Washington, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Zebidee Smith; a sister, Patricia Beard; and a niece, Heather Beard.
