Robert “Peck” Timbrook, 89, of Hartsville passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 7:45 a.m. at his residence.
He was born December 28, 1924 in Columbus to Henry and Nina (Riggs) Timbrook. He was raised in Bartholomew County, graduating from Columbus High School in 1943 and obtained his degree in architecture from LSU.
He was a member of the Harrison Lake Country Club, Otter Creek Country Club and the Westport Christian Church. He served as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during WW2, flying missions over the hump in Burma.He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed hunting, mushroom hunting and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Josie McCartt Timbrook; daughters, Kimberly Brown of South Carolina, Gina Wilson of Everett, Washington and Chanel Clifford of California; ten grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mimi Timbrook; and brothers, Henry, Bud and Jack Timbrook.
Following Robert’s wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Hospice of South Central Indiana or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
