Mrs. Sandra J. “JoAnn” Donica Mace, 78, of Seymour, passed away February 9, 2014, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Born May 26, 1935, in Seymour, she was the daughter of John Evertt and Anna Elizabeth (Porter) Greenwell. Mrs. Mace was widowed.
JoAnn was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She had been employed as a cook. JoAnn loved her friends but her treasure was her family and all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Martha (Tim) Reinbold and Ray (Sue) Donica; stepdaughter, Karen (Curt) Petro; grandchildren, Bradlee Reinbold and Luke Reinbold; stepgrandchildren, Kevin Huddleston, Alicia Hughes and Jessica Petro; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rita Nowling and Shirley (Stanley) Garvey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray E. Donica Jr. and Robert Lee Mace; an infant brother, Buddy Greenwell; and sisters, Emma Louise Weller and Margaret Baker.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Friday, February 14, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Dan Staublin officiating and Deacon Mike East assisting.
Burial will take place at the Moravian Cemetery in Hope, IN.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel in Seymour on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. There will be a Rosary service at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at Voss Chapel.
