James "Steve" King, 36, of Clifty Drive, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

James enjoyed watching the Colts and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling, wrestling, UFC, camping, wolves and spending time with his nephew.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Barnhart officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James "Steve" King Memorial Fund.

Born in Columbus Sept. 29, 1977, Steve was the son of Stephen A. King and Nada B. Mead King.

He is survived by his father, of Horse Cave, Ky.; his stepfather, Forrest Davis, Columbus, IN; brother, Eddie (Mickey) King, Columbus, IN; girlfriend, Shanna Graham, Columbus, IN; grandmother, Colleen E. Mead, Columbus, IN; nephew, Dylan L. King, Columbus, IN; aunts and uncles, Connie (Rick) Wininger, Hershel Asburg, Ed (Gwenda) Mead, Richard (Donetta) Mead, Wendy (Brad) Hankins, Star (Angel) Mead and Lindley (Tammy) King, all of Columbus, Jimmy Mead of North Carolina, and Charlie (Cheryl) Mead, Grammer, IN; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nada B. Mead King; grandfather, James Mead; niece, Courtney S. King; and uncle, Dennis Hankins.
