Betty J. Horn, 87, of Columbus, died at 8:17 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
A homemaker, she was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a member of the DAV Auxiliary. She cherished time with her nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephew.
Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Pastor Kirby Rupp officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Foundation for Youth.

Mrs. Horn was born in Columbus May 26, 1926, the daughter of Lloyd Smith and Elma Brumfield Smith Beatty. She married Joseph H. Horn Nov. 13, 1943, in Columbus. He preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1994.
Survivors include a nephew, Randy (Gaynell) Smith of Orange Park, Fla.; nieces, Dawn Horn of Columbus and Holly Perdue; a great-nephew, Ryan (Jennifer) Smith; and great-nieces, Jill (Craig) Ward and Krystal Perdue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Robert Lyman Smith and Donald Lloyd Smith.
