Monica Lorraine Pacheco, 89, of Columbus, passed away at 3:20 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Lorraine was born on February 23, 1924, in Kokomo, to the late Maynard R. Martin Sr. of Robin City, TN, and Ann Gerard Buckley of Kokomo, IN. She married Lee F. Pacheco of San Antonio, TX, on November 14, 1943. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2004.

Lorraine was a member of Garden City Church of Christ where she worked part time in the office. She was a secretary and administrative assistant to Gerald B. Dunlap, president of Dunlap and Company, for 13 years and retired in 1989 from Arvin Industries where she had worked as a secretary for 28 years.

She enjoyed photography for many years and was a member and secretary for Photo Seekers Club in Columbus. She also enjoyed watercolor painting and writing poetry.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Garden City Church of Christ with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Private family graveside service will be conducted at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Theresa Roseann (Bill) Keller of Tuscon, AZ; sons, Geoffrey Allen (Jealyn) Pacheco of Tucson, AZ, and Gerald Douglas (Mary Ann) Pacheco of Columbus; grandchildren, Destiny Ott, Melissa Culpepper, Garrett Keller, Isaac Pacheco, Lauren Adams, Josiah Pacheco, Dillon, Luke, Joshua and Hillary Pacheco, Sarah Treesh, Amanda Garcia, Grace Stearman, and Lindsey Marcott; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul H. Martin of Columbus, Ralph T. (Gloria) Martin of Columbus, and Warren G. (Sandra) Martin of Columbus; sister, Helen G. (Richard) Miller of Auburn, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee F. Pacheco; son, Gregory Lee Pacheco; sister, Donna M. Juraskovich; and brother, Maynard R. Martin Jr.
