Kimberly (Stevenson) Grissom Smith, 49 of Columbus, died at 4:41 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born March 16, 1964 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Clarence Willard Stevenson and the late Mary Elizabeth (Knotts) Stevenson Hunter.
She married Robert B. Grissom October 4, 1980 in Columbus and he preceded her in death September 25, 1992. She married Mikel Smith June 4, 1994 in Columbus, and he survives.
Mrs. Smith was a 1982 graduate of Columbus East High School.
She enjoyed her job at Columbus Regional Hospital where she was a Care Partner.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Kimberly will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Chuck Kennedy officiating.
Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Monday.
Cremation will follow the service at The Columbus Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation.

Along with her husband of 20 years, Mrs. Smith is also survived by two sons, Charlie (Kirsten Shepherd) Grissom and Tyler (Samara) Grissom both of Columbus; a sister, Cherie (Ronnie) Betz of Edinburgh; a brother, David Anthony “Tony” (Carol White) Douglas of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Robert and Nicholas Grissom, Eli Lucas and Sean, Avery, Brianna, Brian, Zoey and Chloe Grissom; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and first husband, Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by her son, Robert H. Grissom on April 14, 2010; and a brother, Marc Stevenson on April 18, 2003.
