Jesse F. Low, 74, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:24 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014, at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on February 4, 1940, in Jennings County, the son of Bernard M. and Beulah (Kellar) Low.
Jesse was a lifelong resident of Jennings County and graduated in 1958 from Vernon High School. He was a farmer and had served on the Sandcreek Advisory Board for eight years and also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed working on his trucks, going to auctions and visiting neighbors in the community.
Survivors include his sister, Lois G. (Ralph) Manlief of North Vernon; his aunt, Sheila Kellar of North Vernon; his nieces, Diane (Jeff) Maschino and Joyce (Daniel) Mays, both of North Vernon; a great-niece, Emily Davis; great-nephews, Jacob and Christopher Maschino; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Mr. Gene Poer officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at Kellar Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the donor’s choice of charities.
