Margie B. Martin, 79 of Taylorsville, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the home of her daughter.
Margie attended Taylorsville United Methodist Church; she was formerly employed at Kroger, W.T. Grants and Petite Sophisticated. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and her pet cats.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Lonny Goen officiating.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and noon to time of service Tuesday.
Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to Taylorsville United Methodist Church or The Breast Cancer Fund.

Mrs. Martin was born in Cave City, Kentucky, February 17, 1935, the daughter of Dal "Bud" and Pearl Kinser Melton.
She married C.L. Martin on December 11, 1953; he preceded her in death on February 22, 2007.
Survivors include her children, Gail Weisner, Teresa Martin, Kim Martin and Maurice (Debbie) Holman, all of Taylorsville; a sister, Wilma (Larry) Silkwood of Hazelwood; and grandchildren, Lacey Spann and Katee Holman.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
