Robert H. "Bob" Kiser, 79, of Vallonia, Indiana, passed away at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at his residence.
Bob had worked for Jim’s Body Shop in Seymour, Indiana, and around 1969 went into business for himself as an auto body repairman and welder. He enjoyed antique engines and tractors.
He, along with his family, greatly appreciated the help provided by his caretaker, Shirley Huff.
Born October 30, 1934, in Jackson County, Bob was a son of the late William Henry Kiser and Dorothy Hunsucker Kiser. On June 2, 1955, he married Bonnie M. Haley. She preceded him in death February 23, 2004.
Survivors include three children, Rosa L. (John) Fosbrink, Jerry (Sharrie) Kiser and Larry (Teresa) Kiser; two brothers, Don (Martha) Kiser and Frank (Madline) Kiser; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Jim Kiser, and one sister, Virgie Goens.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. Calling will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Lost River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbellsburg, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
