Patricia Ann Buring Coriden died on March 7, 2014 after a brief illness. She resided at St. Augustine Home of Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was served by The Little Sisters of the Poor. Pat was born on February 13, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a 1942 graduate of Catholic Central High School in Hammond, Indiana, where she played tuba in the marching band, sang in the glee club and was a member of the cheerleader squad. She married John B. Coriden on June 10, 1944. They had four children, John, Terry, Ann Marie and Kevin.

Throughout her adult life, Pat was an active community volunteer, including helping at Catholic Charities and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, golfing and swimming. She participated in the Senior Games of Indiana from 1987-1997. She won multiple medals in swimming after learning to swim at the age of 65.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Harold James (Harry) and Julia Cecilia Loftus Buring, and her brothers (and their wives), Harold (Jim) Buring and Francis Buring. Jim and his wife Mary (Patsellis) had one child, Julie (Jeff Blumberg) Buring. Francis and his wife Margie (Smith) lived in Columbus, IN from 1939 to 1970, raising five children; Connie (Eddie, deceased) Spriggs, Michael (Linda) Buring, Joy (Rabbit) Sanders , Patsy (Jim) Johnson (both deceased), and Steve (Sue) Buring.

Pat is survived by her children, John P (Kathleen) Coriden, Terry (Kathleen) Coriden, Ann Marie (George) Carpenedo, and Kevin (Nancy) Coriden. She is also survived by her grandchildren: John K Coriden, Dan Coriden, Cindy Mann, David Chubb, Timothy Coriden, Erin Coriden Kendall, Thomas Carpenedo, Julia Carpenedo, Ellen Coriden, Sam Coriden. She had four great-grandchildren, Pete Coriden, Danny Coriden, Jillian Smith, Hannah Mann.
