Thomas E. Chandler, 61, of Indianapolis, formerly of Edinburgh, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at IU Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
Mr. Chandler was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh. He was an Eagle Scout, coached Little League Baseball, participated in Indianapolis Olympians Wheelchair Basketball and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Robert Reeves officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Born in Louisville, Ky., Sept. 14, 1952, Mr. Chandler was th son of Charles Wayne Chandler and Dorothy Critney Chandler.
He is survived by his mother, of Edinburgh; his stepfather, Roy Farr Jr.; an uncle, Robert R. (Ruth) Critney of Tucson, Ariz.; aunts, Patricia M. Foster of North Charleston, NC, Alice M. (Bob) Reeves of Ogilville, and Joann Kirts of Columbus; three stepbrothers; a stepsister; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and sisters, Cynthia Reynolds of Columbus, IN, Tina (Rod) Hardiman of Camby, IN, and Patty Dean of Grammer, IN.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Larry W. Chandler; and grandparents, Francis J. and Margaret Critney Sr.
