Terry Wayne Burton, 62, of 13th Street died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at home.
Terry was owner and operator of Solid State TV and Electronics on State Street. He was a member of Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle where he loved going to church. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, gardening and working on cars.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. Eli Johnson officiating. Calling will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Revival Full Gospel Tabernacle.
Born in Columbus Sept. 21, 1951, Terry was the son of Samuel W. Burton and Evelyn Bryant Burton. He married Patsy Scrogham Burton Nov. 18, 1973.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Columbus; sons, Jeromey Burton of Columbus, IN, and David (Kayla Brown) Burton of Shelbyville, IN; brothers, Kenneth (Judy) Burton, Allen (Darlene) Burton, and Randall (Delores) Burton, all of Columbus, IN, Keven (Shari) Burton and Steve (Tonya) Burton, both of North Vernon, IN, Ronald Burton of Columbus, IN, Tim (Barbara) Burton of Freetown, IN, Doyle (Carol) Burton and Mike Burton, both of Columbus, IN; sisters, Rita Hedger of Columbus, IN, Regina (Dennis) Goodwin of Elizabethtown, IN, and Robin Burton of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Madison Jane Burton, Jordan Marie Burton, Page Leeann Burton, David Dwight Burton, and Jacklynn Paige June Burton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
