Carol A. Monroe, 68, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday April 1, 2014, in Indianapolis.
Born January 3, 1946, in Mission, TX, she was the daughter of Harry Marcott Jr. and Ila Jean (Ault) Hedrick.
Carol retired from Cummins Engine Company after 39 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, riding motorcycles, being outside and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
She is survived by her companion, Lowell Trapp; daughter, Vera (Tim) Hatfield; grandchildren, Corey Simmons and Kendra Simmons; great-grandson, Braydon Smyth; brothers, Terry (Nancy) Marcott and Gary (Vivian) Marcott; and sisters, Susan (Joe) West and Judy (George) Wade.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon K. Ward.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor David Pritchard officiating. Burial will take place at Spraytown Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Friday, April 4, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to Houston Christian Church or Messiah Baptist Church.
