Virginia "Widdy" Malone, 81, of Columbus, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Virginia retired in 1982 from Arvin Industries where she had worked for 13 years.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Karen Sutherland officiating. Family and friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Virginia was born in Liberty, Kentucky, July 30, 1932, the daughter of Charles and Iva Nelson Barnsfather. She married Beeler Malone August 31, 1963. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2008.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Karen) Sutherland of Florida, Larry Sutherland of Florida, Gloria Arney of Seymour, and Belinda Abbett of Columbus; brothers, Gebus (Reva) Barnsfather of Columbus and Winferd (Esther) Barnsfather of Columbus; a sister, Helen Wheatley of Columbus; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two stepdaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Charles, Morrison and Hillis Barnsfather; sisters, Katie Kinman and Mary Silvia; a stepson; and a stepdaughter.
