Frankie Lou Ziegler, 74 of Hope passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at her son's house in Seymour.
Before retiring she was employed as a cook at Flat Rock Hawcreek School System. She is a member of Seymour Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. She also enjoyed camping and loved flower gardening, raising over 200 different colors of irises.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastors Bill Lockman, Aaron Milburn and Bill Weaver officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be donated to Seymour Christian Church or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
Born June 24, 1939 in Clark County, Arkansas, Frankie was the daughter of Norman and Willa Harvey Huggins. She met Ronald Dean Ziegler April 27, 1957 on Ponchatain Beach in New Orleans. Frankie was on a senior trip and Ronald was on a weekend pass from the Air Force. They were married by the Rev. Thomas Smith at Frankie's sister's house near Amity, Arkansas on December 18, 1959.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Hope; children, Charity Dawn Ziegler (John) Spicer of Owenton, Ky. and David Dean(Jerrica) Ziegler of Seymour; grandchildren, Jeshua Tyler (Mandy) Caudle of Frankfort, Ky., Jordan Elizabeth (Chad) Hillard of Frankfort, Ky. and Craig Norman Dean (April) Ziegler of Seymour; sister, Sue (Albert) Williams of Mt. Ida, Ark.; a niece, Diane (Rob) Eddington of Mt. Ida, Ark.; and her loving dog, Snoopy.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Wade Huggins.
