Jane A. Johnson, 69, of Pennsylvania Street, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Johnson retired from Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation after working 26 years as a teacher's assistant. She enjoyed watching and playing golf and several years ago won her flight in the Ladies City Golf Tournament.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Mike Delong officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Jane was born in Daviess County on September 5, 1944, the daughter of Buel T. and Evelyn Jones Kays. She married James J. Johnson on November 23, 1966.
Survivors include her husband; children, Angie (Brian) Duncan of Columbus and Andrew Johnson of Orlando; a brother, Ron (Genrose) Kays of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Tyler Duncan, Nicole Duncan and Brandon Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Buel Kays; her mother, Evelyn McCain; and a brother, Dean Kays.
