Kathleen Thompson, 81 of Columbus, died at 12:39 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Born December 5, 1932 in Greenfield, Kathleen was the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Kinsel Frazier. Over her lifetime here in Columbus she worked as a clerk for J.C. Penney and as a secretary for Peters Heating & Cooling, Wayne Township and Southside schools. She enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
In keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, cremation is planned with private family inurnment in Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date. Memorials for Kathleen may be sent in lieu of flowers to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.Arrangements were handled by Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. Among Kathleen’s survivors are her children, Randall (Amy) Thompson, of Hope, Kristina Huneycutt, of Columbus, Kevin Thompson, of Hope and Kimberly (Steve) Gibson, of Columbus; grandchildren, Joshua Thompson and Nicholas Wise, both of Hope and Timothy Huneycutt, of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Danica Thompson and Braylee Gibson.
She was preceded by her parents; her son, Timothy Thompson; and a grandson, Joseph Allen Thompson.
