Marvin Dale Robertson, 76, of Hope, died May 6, 2014, at his home.
Marvin retired from Sonoco Packaging after 52 years as a factory worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and loved fishing, going to auctions, watching NASCAR, gardening, and going to the casino.
Born May 4, 1938, in Shelby County, he was the son of Dike and Frances Rose Robertson. He married Sue Ann Streeval and she survives in Hope.
Other survivors include a son, Jeffrey D. Robertson of North Vernon; a daughter, Kellie Hoffman of Columbus; a stepson, Eddie L. Gross II; a stepdaughter, Jenifer Gross; brothers, J.C. Robertson and David Robertson; sisters, Ann Campbell, Marilyn Mize, Rosemary Holder, and Nancy Jackman; and several nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Beth Ann Robertson; a son, Douglas E. Robertson; and a brother, Paul Robertson.
Cremation is planned.
Memorial visitation will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, both at the Robertson home on County Road 800N near Hope.
Arrangements were made by Norman Funeral Home at Hope.
