Frank Terry Underwood, 70, of Columbus, died at 12:34 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Frank was born December 2, 1943 in Columbus to the late Frank and Geneva (Wilkerson) Underwood. He was the owner and operator of Frank’s Tree Service for the past 40 years. Previously, he was employed by Cosco for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Morgan Underwood whom he married November 20, 1981; two sons, Kelly K. Smith and Scott D. (Karen) Smith; a grandson, Lane Elliott Smith, all of North Vernon; a brother, Revis (Joyce) Underwood of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four sisters, Pam Richards of Elizabethtown, Leta (Charles) Johnson of Laurel, Brenda Eldridge and Jennie Mae Underwood, both of Indianapolis. Frank was preceded in death by a brother, George Ed Underwood.
Funeral services for Mr. Underwood will be held on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
