Hazel M. Kell, 90, of Edinburgh, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Homeview Health & Rehab in Franklin.
A private service was held at noon Saturday, May 17, at Long Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Pastor Tobby Smith officiated at the memorial service. Burial will be at a later date at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to Homeview Franklin Activities Fund, Bartholomew County Humane Society or the ASPCA at www.aspca.org/donate.
Mrs. Kell was born May 14, 1924. She married Julius Ray Kell May 4, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Survivors include four children, Michael Kell (Jose Nicolas Noriega-Portilla), Earl Kell (Cheryl), Nancy Kell and Wanda McHolland, (Mark); grandsons, Chris and Jay Robert Kell; five great-grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Morgan, Joshua and Bryan; a sister, Annie Bennett of Flat Rock; and a brother, Raymond Rooks of Taylorsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Jackie Kell.
We want to thank all of the amazing staff at Homeview Health & Rehab. If there are truly angels on earth they all must work at Homeview. You administered excellent care with love and support not only to our mom, but to the entire family and we will be eternally grateful.
