Rebekah A. Davis, 83, of Jonesville, died at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.

Mrs. Davis was a self-employed beautician and formerly owned Fluffo Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Borchers and Bartholomew County Extension Homemakers Club, serving as a district representative of the Madison District and as county president. She served on the Bartholomew County Board of Health for over 10 years and coached girls basketball at Whitecreek from 1968 to 1975 and boys basketball from 1981 to 1984.

Funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street, with Pastor Stephen Wood officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until service time Friday. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Bedford, Indiana, Feb. 8, 1931, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Charles and Goldie Boofer Browning. She married Terrell Davis March 3, 1961, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 2008.

Survivors include a son, Michael (Sharon) Owens of Greencastle, IN; daughters, Ruth King of Newport News, VA, and Kelly (Chris) Campbell of Columbus, IN; a sister, Connie Crane of Oolitic, IN; a brother, Tyrone (JoAnn) Browning of Solsbury, IN; grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Foster of Taylorsville, Jarrod (Karen) Owens of Jonesville, Katie Beth Schiewer of Speedway, Carroll (Craig) McCarty of New Whiteland, Angela (Marco) Migliore of Newport News, VA, Chelsea and Kandy Ruth Campbell of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Baili Campbell, Camrin McCarty, Oliver and Mia Migliore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Dixie Galloway; six brothers; and four sisters.
