Barbara J. Barnes, 55, of Audubon Drive, passed away at 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Barbara was born on October 21, 1958, in Bedford to the late Leroy Hooten and Helen J. White Noblitt.
She was formerly employed at Kroger and graduated from Indiana Business College with a degree in Medical Coding. Barabara enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to Colts games and spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Scott Hundley officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include her longtime companion of 25 years, Greg Westerfield of Columbus; sons, Ryan (Ginger) Barnes of Columbus, and Matt Henson of Kentucky; grandchildren, Schuyler and Logan Barnes; sisters, Sherri (Clyde) Hesser of Seymour, and Christina (Howard) Bowman of Columbus; brothers, Phillip (Nancy) Goff of Kingman, AZ, Mark (Brenda) Goff of North Vernon, and Timothy (Joann) Hooten of Scipio.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
