Aaron Hunter Adkins, 29, of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Ashland, Kentucky, died May 26, 2014. He was born in Ashland February 26, 1985, to Orville Adkins (Sarah Brown) of Ashland, and Janet Steele Faulkner (Bobby Jack) of South Point, Ohio.
Aaron was a material analyst with Valeo and a member of Community Church of Columbus. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He also liked to bowl, work on cars and was an accomplished artist.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife, Rachael Anderson Adkins of Columbus; a brother, Chase Alexander Adkins of Ashland, Kentucky; a stepsister Rose-Linda Stafford of Ashland, Kentucky; a special niece, Isabelle Adkins; in-laws, Raymond Shirley and Vivian Anderson of Winchester, Kentucky, and Raymond’s mother, Irene Anderson, also of Winchester, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Ashley Garrison and husband, Nathan, and their daughter, Emily, of Louisville, Kentucky; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Byron and Irene Steele, and paternal grandparents, Orville and Doris Adkins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland, Kentucky, with Pastor Tom Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Calling will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
