Doris Alberta Davis Siefker, 95, of Seymour, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Lutheran Community Home.
Born October 25, 1918, she was the daughter of Conley Ottis Davis and Dorothy Dora (Hair) Davis. On May 17, 1941, in Seymour, IN, she married Ernest Siefker who preceded her in death January 7, 2001.
A homemaker, Doris was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Seymour community as a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies Aide No. 4 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Marling; sons, Ernest Steven (Anne) Siefker, Richard L. (Debbie) Siefker, and David E. (Sallie) Siefker; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sue Siefker; a sister, Mary Margaret Dillman; and several nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Conley Siefker; a daughter, Janet Rueter; a granddaughter, Shawn Siefker; a great-grandson, Dominic Rueter; a sister, Harriet Davis; a brother, Conley Davis; and a son-in-law, Paul Rueter.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Jimmy Rodrgiuez officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory, Seymour, IN.
