Wanda L. Curry, 95, of Washington Street, passed from this life at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Curry was a beautician for several years and owned and operated The Beauty Wand for 25 years. She was formerly employed at C.P. Electronics for 25 years and Arvin Industries, was a member of Columbus Moose Lodge and attended The Ridge.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Jerry K. Day Jr. officiating. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Columbus Moose Lodge.

Born in Brown County, January 28, 1919, Mrs. Curry was the daughter of Otha and Rosa Reeves Roberts. She married Woodrow T. "Woody" Curry on September 23, 1936. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2013.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Hiott and Kathryn Mount, both of Columbus; a grandson, Mark (Cindy) Conrad of Columbus; a great-grandson, Josh Conrad of Columbus; a brother, Otha (Ethel) Roberts Jr. of Brown County; a sister, Winfred (Bob) Schrougham of Brown County; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Glen Roberts; sisters, Dorothy Calhoun, Pearl Hoover, Clara Smith and Rachel King; and grandsons, Steve and Gary Mount.
