Gary S. Neville, 61, of County Road 700W, passed from this life at 5:22 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

Mr. Neville retired in 2013 after 35 years of service with Developmental Services Inc. where he was executive director of administrative services. He enjoyed reading, being with his pets, collecting World War II memorabilia, constructing World War II models, and learning about history.

No funeral services are planned.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or Bartholomew County Humane Society.

Born in Johnson County, September 25, 1952, Mr. Neville was the son of Ralph and Marian Warder Neville. He married Elaine C. Smith December 28, 1974.

Survivors include his wife; a brother-in-law, Bryan Smith Sr. of Hagerstown, Maryland; a nephew, Bryan (Leslie) Smith Jr. of Hagerstown; and a niece, Katie Smith of Mount Airy, Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
