Leo R. Hillen, 88, of North Vernon, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include four sons, Dana (Mary) Hillen of Crossville, Alabama, Anthony (Linda) Hillen of Columbus, John (Kathy) Hillen of North Vernon, and Charles Hillen of New Hampshire; five daughters, Tami (Tim) Brown and Frances (Robbie) Leonard, both of North Vernon, Mary (James) Vincent and Margaret (Dan) Fouts, both of Columbus, and Ann (John) Compton of Franklin; two sisters, Madonna Hillen and Ann Matern, both of North Vernon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Kuntz Hillen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Vernon with the Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of Jennings County.
