Gregory Ernest Green, 52, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014, in North Vernon, Indiana, the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Gregory was born November 17, 1961, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of Ronald E. Green and the late Barbara Joan Gudgel.
Gregory was a pharmacist who worked for Medicap Pharmacy in North Vernon, Indiana, Bevers Family Pharmacy in Seymour, Indiana, CVS Pharmacy in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky, Syncor Pharmacy in Louisville, Kentucky, and Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was a 1980 graduate of Jennings County High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 1985.
He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society of Purdue University and was a pilot and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He loved spending time with and surprising his family and friends with special gifts. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, boating, flying his plane, skiing and water skiing, horses, antique tractors and white water rafting.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Ronald E. and Barbara Lee (Bewley) Green of North Vernon, Indiana; his sister, Shelly K. Green of Greenwood, Indiana; two stepbrothers, Robert (Jackie) Fischvogt of Columbus, Indiana, and Richard (Dena) Hayden of Collinsville, Illinois; two stepsisters, Dana (Darrell) Dillman and Roberta (Randy) Renback, both of Pittsboro, Indiana; and three nieces, Amanda R. (Brian) Brand, Madilynn Brand, and Kaitlynn Brand, all of Greenwood, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara J. Green, on April 15, 2008, and his son, Logan Jackson Green on September 5, 2006.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday, June 30, 2014, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana, with the Rev. Ben Morris officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at Tea Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Jennings County, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Batten Disease Support & Research Association.
