Richard Earl McGuire, 82, of Seymour, died at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
He is survived by two sons, Richard A. (Lora) McGuire of Westport and John W. (Shannon) McGuire of Jamestown, Kentucky; three daughters, Jennifer Harrell of Seymour, Regina (Calvin) Owens of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and Cynthia Cline of North Vernon; one stepson, Olan (Deanna) Combs of Austin; four stepdaughters, Carol (Ed) Weddle of Crothersville, Dovie (Mike) Stidham and Janie Stidham, both of Seymour, and Lisa (Kevin) Stollings of Scottsburg; three brothers, James (Fairy Rose) McGuire and Gordon (Barbara) McGuire, both of North Vernon, and Glen (Carol) McGuire of Richmond; one sister, Mary Ruth (Bob) Boyer of Sikeston, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley McGuire; his second wife, Bessie Mae Combs McGuire; and his companion, Barbara Hallett.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Glen McGuire officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Westport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
