Ray J. Bailey, 63, of Parkway Drive, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his residence.
Ray was born in Hart County, Kentucky, August 21, 1950, to the late Elbert C. and Talmage L. Bailey. A 2003 retiree of Cummins Engine Company, he enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, riding in his Jeep, the outdoors, mushroom hunting, and dancing. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
A private family service is planned. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Raymond is survived by his companion, Patricia Penrose of Columbus; children, William R. Bailey of Columbus, Fred (Angela) Bailey of Columbus, and Dana (Derek) Carr of Florida; grandchildren, Justin R. Bailey, Tristan J. Bailey, Matthew C. Bailey, Meghan D. Bailey, Hannah M. Bailey, Sophie N. Bailey, Jacob D. Bailey, Cody L. Carr, and Kirsten L. Carr; brothers and sisters, James E. (Faye) Bailey of Kentucky, Mary (Steven) Wages of Illinois, Hattie M. Cooley of Columbus, Shirley G. Bailey of Illinois, Virginia E. England of Columbus, and Helen L. Branson of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill E. Bailey, David R. Bailey, and Darrell W. Bailey; and his first wife, Pamela L. Bailey.
