Connie Dale Burton, 62, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at Community Hospital South. He was born April 14, 1952, in Franklin, the son of Paul Burton and Ina Ruth (Rooks) Burton.
Survivors include a son, Zachary Burton of Westfield, Indiana; a daughter, Lindsey (Daniel) Tinkle of Whiteland, Indiana; sisters, Angela (Alan) Bowers of Huntington, Indiana, Sheila (Brad) Cunningham of Franklin, Indiana, and Cynthia Pool of Greenwood, Indiana; one nephew and eight nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ricky Vaughn Burton.
Mr. Burton was a 1970 graduate of Edinburgh High School and was an outstanding athlete. He was part owner of Amos-Hill Corp. from 1982 to 2000 and worked at David R. Webb from 2000 to 2009. He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music and playing golf.
Calling will be at the Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh on Friday, July 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
