Abigail Marie “Abbi” Baker, 29, of Indianapolis, passed away at 9:31 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1984, in Columbus, the daughter of Marvin Baker and the late Martha Jo McCullough.
Abbi was raised and lived most of her life in Decatur County and graduated in 2003 from South Decatur High School where she enjoyed choir and band. She was a member of Union Flat Rock Baptist Church and International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She enjoyed singing.
Survivors include her daughter, Gabby Baker of Indianapolis; her sons, Ernest Lawg III of Indianapolis and Nickolas Baker of Middletown, Ohio; her father, Marvin Baker of Greencastle; her sister, Angie Baker of Camp Humphrey, South Korea; her grandfather, Arthur McCullough of Westport; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Jo McCullough.
Funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Union Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Caroline Williams officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport has been entrusted with handling the funeral arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
