Larry A. Davis Sr., 69, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
Born November 21, 1944, in Beech Grove, Indiana, he was the son of Elbert Davis and Viola (Webb) Gauck. He was married to Bernice Hammond and she preceded him in death.
Larry graduated from St. Paul High School and was a veteran of the Air Force. He was a former Conservation Officer.
He is survived by one son, Larry A. "Goober" (Jennifer) Davis Jr. of Greensburg; one daughter, Kathleen (Jeremy) Schneider of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Vincent Davis, Erica Lynn Davis, Edward Schneider, and John Schneider; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Danny Davis and Jerry Davis; and one sister, Betty Land.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Selby officiating. Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
