Charles Thomas Wall, 68, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014, at his residence.

Born February 8, 1946, he was the son of Noel and Viola Peck Wall. He married Janice Martin on January 21, 1978, in Seymour, Indiana. She survives.

Mr. Wall retired in 1996 after 30 years with Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana. He was a graduate of New Marion High School in Ripley County, Indiana, and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Scottsburg, Indiana, and H.O.G. Harley Owners Group. He enjoyed boating, camping, woodworking, restoring John Deere tractors and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Wall of North Vernon, Indiana; two sons, Charles Brian (Alex) Wall of North Vernon, Indiana, and David (Kelly) Spencer of Seymour, Indiana; one daughter, Donna Mills of Columbus, Indiana; one brother, Albert (Charlotte) Wall of Frankfort, Kentucky; two sisters, Carrie (Gene) Sheene of Hustonville, Kentucky, and Joyce Austin of Palm Desert, California; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (Giovagnorio) Beverly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Zack Mills of Columbus, Indiana, Bethany (Ethan) Ruckel of New Albany, Indiana, Allison Wall, Annie Wall, Cassie Kopp and Clayton Motosicky, all of North Vernon, Indiana, Darren Tyler Spencer, Kennedy Spencer and Drake Spencer, all of Seymour, Indiana; and two great-grandchildren, Presley Beverly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Christian Lee of North Vernon, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobbie, Ollie, Russell, Jerry and Marvin Wall.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, Indiana, with the Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Calling will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County or Columbus Hospital Cancer Center.
