Anthony F. Simmons, 50, of Pence Avenue, died at 11:19 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Mr. Simmons was formerly employed at NVIC, EMS, and Atterbury Job Corps Center, and was a member of The World of Pentecost.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Dan Mitchell and Brother Reggie Meeks officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Born in Antigua July 14, 1964, Mr. Simmons was the son of Carrol and Jean Squash Simmons. He married Valerie Semidey March 11, 1996.
Survivors include his wife; his father; children, Keisha Simmons of Columbus, Daishalee Simmons of Columbus, Mark Simmons of Columbus, Anthony Simmons of New York, Jasmine Simmons of Columbus, and Donta Simmons of Columbus; sisters, Cecilia Rose of Columbus and Socitha Williams of New York; brothers, Keith Roy (Sondra) Simmons of Texas, Henley (Janice) Simmons of Columbus, Noel Simmons of Columbus, Danley Simmons of Texas, and Devon Simmons of Columbus; and grandchildren, Shakyra Simmons, Ja'Aliyah McMurray, Emoree Anderson and Melia Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Simmons, and a grandson, Rodrick McMurray.
