Michael Juraskovich, 93, a resident of Heritage House of Greensburg, formerly of Columbus, went to be with our Heavenly Father at 5 a.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014.
Born March 14, 1921, and raised in Tamaqua, PA, Mike was the son of Abraham and Mary Recnock Juraskovich. He married Donna Mae Martin October 27, 1945. She preceded him in death November 19, 1999.
A U.S. Army World War II veteran, he served as a tank mechanic with the 820th Panther Tank Division and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
Mike retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1982 after 34 years of service.
He enjoyed membership at Garden City Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had a passion for working on cars.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service. Private inurnment will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Survivors include children, Deborah (Gary) Wilkerson of Hartsville, Martin (Dawn) Juraskovich of North Vernon, and Bethann (Doug) Giles of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years; a daughter, Nicole Bowman; a brother, Phillip Juraskovich; and sisters, Millie Zerconski and Helen Nesgoda.
