Junettia Mary Richardson, 101, of Washington Street, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Friday August 8, 2014 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Judy was born on August 4, 2013 in Edinburgh to the late Theodore and Luvenia Willis Murphy.
She married Charles W. Richardson on January 12, 1936. He preceded her in death January 25, 1987.
Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed the ladies of the Hannah Circle. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home with Dr. Daniel Cash officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
Survivors include her grandson, Brett Richardson of Nebraska; a granddaughter, Jayme (Matt Simmons) Richardson of Kansas; four great-grandchildren, Erik Osmera, Alyvia Simmons, Kordell Simmons, and Shaylen Simmons; a nephew, Michael (Donna) Clark of Indianapolis; a great-niece, Kassie Youngberg of Indianapolis; a great-nephew, Brian Clark of Indianapolis; a daughter -in-law, Jody (Rex) Gittins of Nebraska; and a special friend, Shawn Lacey.
Junettia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles W. Richardson; a son, Brent Richardson, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1974; and a sister, Mildred Clark.
