Alberta M. Terrell, 92, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:18 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Terrell was a production controller at the Naval Avionics Center in Indianapolis, retiring in 1974 after 24 years of service.
She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, Columbus Moose Lodge, Mill Race Center, and the Southport Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Garden, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana, with Pastor Stuart Goar officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Born in Logansport January 7, 1922, Mrs. Terrell was the daughter of Perry G. and Laura A. Barringer Ross. She married Donovan E. Terrell December 23, 1939. He preceded her in death August 17, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, V. Sue Kiefner of Columbus; a brother, Donald Ross of Martinsville; sisters, Helen Shutters of Seymour, Lois Glass of Kentucky, Carol (John) Catt of Nineveh, Betsy (Ingle) Harris of Indianapolis, and Glenna (David) Hill of New Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Marshall and Harold "Bud" Ross; and a sister, Mary Catherine Randall.
