Donovan E. Terrell, 94, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:52 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Terrell was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a machinist at International Harvester in Indianapolis, retiring July 31, 1982.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Columbus Moose Lodge, Mill Race Center and the Evergreen-Oriental Masonic Lodge No. 500 F. & A.M.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana, with Pastor Stuart Goar officiating. Full military rites will be presented by the Indiana Army National Guard Honor Guard and the Greenwood Whiteland Honor Guard.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by St. John's Masonic Lodge No. 20 F. & A.M. at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Born in Scottsburg May 3, 1920, Mr. Terrell was the son of William H. and Mary E. Richey Terrell.
He married Alberta M. Ross December 23, 1939. She passed away August 21, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, V. Sue Kiefner of Columbus; a brother, Bill Terrell of Clearwater, FL; sisters, Jo (Frank) Martin of Dolphin, AL, and Mary Foster of Tuscaloosa, AL; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins and other relatives.
Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Hilda Dunaway, Annalee Hawn, and Gaynell Buchanan.
